Nice hotel, small rooms and expensivePosted Jun 19, 2015
Location: Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby
Nice location clean and nice hotel but very expensive especially for such small rooms. There is no breakfast in this hotel which is very strange for such category of hotels.

Location cannot be beat for high end livingPosted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Location and friendliness of staff
Cons: Rooms should be larger by 1/2 if one is accustomed to US accommodations
Location: See above
You will not need to leave the Mayfair area for everyday living such as eating, shopping, and exercising. Every high end US store is near the hotel. Excessive wealth abounds with Bentleys, Mercedes, Rolls. Delicious food of all types. Convenient to all neighborhoods by public transportation other than taxis.

Fur Coat NO KnickersPosted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: Not much
Cons: A complete refit/refurbishment of the bedrooms
Location: Great location Good shopping
Great location Wonderful Doormen Pleasant lobby Decent enough reception and receptionists. That is sadly where it finishes... Enter the lift and it takes you to a world of averageness The corridors are shabby The doors and entry system remind you of a cheap 1970s B movie Motel. The room I had 511 honestly awful Tired carpets..in truth a bit dirty Damaged chipped furniture The bed..the mattress was actually pretty good, the bedding was dreadful, without a doubt the worst hotel bed linen I have slept on in 20 years, rough, bobbly. The bathroom reminded me of That same 1970s motel, the bath was tiny, the shower dribbled, the bathroom product was horrible. My VIP Expedia guest gift was a plate of over rip fruit, that would have better served going into a smoothie! The hotel in short has a spectacular location and they charge for that, but the amenities just don't match the price or location.

Old and tired in desperate need of refurbishment.Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Reduce general cost of everything, upgrade the rooms in line with other 5 star hotels, provide tea and coffee making facilities.
Location: Perfect for shopping and all other West End attractions.
Room is old and very dated, bathroom was uncomfortably small and not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. No hot drink making facilities. Room on arrival had a horrible smell and carpet was damp where someone had attempted to clean something from the floor. Unfortunately everything was below average.

Good hotel in MayfairPosted May 19, 2015
Good hotel that is short walking distance to many London tourist attractions. My wife and I were surprised that wifi is not free, especially given that the hotel is 5 star. Also disappointed that we had to pay additional £40 per day to upgrade so we could check in early ... never had to do that in other 5 star hotels we have stayed in, even in Mayfair and especially because it was our 3rd stay in this hotel.

Excellent London HotelPosted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Location and Staff. The location really sells the hotel
Cons: Kettle in the room would have been nice
Location: Very central. 5 minute walk to Oxford Circus, Piccadilly, Berkley Square, Bond Street
We stopped in London for a family get together and all stopped at this hotel, got an excellent price through Expedia. The hotel is very central (2 minutes from Oxford Circus) and has its own car parking (£40 per night which is about average for London car parks). The hotel was superb, clean rooms and friendly staff. The bar was a nice relaxing place to gather and have pre dinner drinks although I found five star hotels have 5 star prices! £60 for 5 drinks - 1 beer, 2 G&T's on tonic water and one coke although plenty of nibbles! I missed the kettle in the room, would have been nice to have a cup of tea the following morning rather than phone down for one so waited for breakfast which was better than many hotel breakfasts (prices vary). Overall I'd stop here again but would definitely avoid the bar!
