Pros: Close to mass transit - about 6 blks from No. 7 subway which gave you quick access to other subways, buses, downtown & also close to numerous eateries
Cons: Dayshift front desk service.
Location: Easily get to No.7 subway and from there get to other subways and numerous buses & got to LaGuardia airport easily, quickly and cheaply via subway/bus

Standard hotel in Queens

Posted Sep 15, 2014
It was in a safe area of Queens about 5 miles outside of Manhattan in Long Island. We walked about 7 blocks to the subway and rode into NYC daily! The people at the desk were extremely friendly and helpful. It rained one day and they had a shuttle to subway until 7pm.

Good price. Close to subway.

Shuttle drivers were nice and helpful! Hard bed. Had to ask everyday for towels and wash clothes. Last day No one cleaned our room. Only good thing was the refrigerator and microwave!

Pros: Proximity to the city & price.
The room itself was great, but the crowded parking lot and breakfast facility were sub-standard.

Nice hotel, some 10 minutes walk from subway

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Friendliness, cost, availability by subway.
Cons: The safe did not work and the iron was missing. I expect than if we reported, the problems would be fixed, but we didn't need either.
Location: Nice bar nearby (Couryard Ale House) For the rest I took the subway
Frinedly staff, good breakfast. Pretty clean room. Some musty smell in corridor, but didn't bother. Room smelled well though. The safe did not work and the iron was missing. I expect than if we reported, the problems would be fixed, but we didn't need either. Now to positive. Just 10 minutes walk from subway 7 train 40th station. 1 hour after we landed in LGA we were at hotel door on public transport. Very friendly lady at the front desk. The bed was ok and the bathroom had all what's required including nice Pantene shampoo. Good hotel for the money. Takes some 30-40 minutes to get to Manhattan and about an hour and a half to JFK.

It's an ok hotel, though not very neat, and the breakfast was not that ok. They used to keep some of the stuff inside kitchen (bananas, yogurt etc) for some reason. One time we drank water from the fountain post the breakfast, next day they had it turned off, I mean, comeon! It's just water.

Nice hotel close to metro station.

Quiet nice place for short stay, good breakfasts with fresh fruits, comfortable bed. Air Condition needs good cleaning (mold on AC grid), mustiness in the air.
