Charming and affordable.Posted Jan 4, 2015
Wonderful site right on the beach. We didn't have a room that looked out to the water but enjoyed it anyway. Had a wonderful breakfast and the locals seem to frequent the restaurant so we had a chance to visit with them.

very unkind, cold, uncomfortable but good view, the price isn't fair enough to stay for one night.

Walk on the beach.Posted Oct 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great location. Enjoyed a walk on the beach. Really no view from the room as we were located on the side. The hotel is really old, but the room was clean & comfortable. The food at the hotel was good also! For a historic location, we enjoyed our stay!

Nice overnight place to stayPosted Oct 2, 2014
We arrived very late, after traffic delays on the interstate highway, but we were greeted by a happy lady who signed us in. Our room was large and the beds comfortable. The outside door onto the balcony had a screen so we could leave it open all night. The area was very quiet, no noise at all, apart from an occasional outburst from one of the local dogs around dawn. The motel has an almost quaint fit out and creaking floors upstairs. It is not a highly rated hotel/motel, but if you are looking for a comfortable, clean room for a night or two I would recommend it

Right on the beachPosted Sep 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
For our purposes, a quick mini-honeymoon on the beach half an hour from our wedding, this was great. The onsite restaurant was very nice, and there was a fine continental breakfast (coffee/tea, cereal, toast, bagel, muffin, fruit) included. The staff were all very friendly, if not particularly familiar with the area. (No once could really answer our questions about places to go, shops, attractions, etc.) This is definitely an older hotel, and the amenities show that; we forgot a wall phone charger, but there was nowhere to plug in a USB charger, (usually you can find one on the TV, on a lamp, or at least in the office) the TV had fuzzy/buzzy reception on most of the 20 or so channels, and the refrigerator buzzed so loudly I had to get earplugs to sleep. The star of the place is definitely the beach, which is small but is steps from the door and has lots of nice rocks and shells. It was fun to have our own little balcony. We went swimming and beach-combing for much of our time there. There are also two town beaches in the surrounding area, one in a park with other amenities. There was a sign saying that non-residents had to pay, but we went after labor day so there was no one there. There are a few nice restaurants if you look on Yelp. Not much to do in the area in terms of shopping/entertainment/tours/museums, but we didn't really care, as we were just there to relax and take some nice walks.
