Well located hotel, helpful and flexible staffPosted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Flexibility of staff, customer focused, location and size of room.
Cons: I would suggest better noise insulation - road noise is quite intrusive.
Location: Empire State Building (5 minutes walk), Macy's, Times Square (15 minutes walk).
We had a pleasant stay there for 5 nights. We had a one bedroom suite which was spacious enough and well equipped. Staff were very pleasant. The only downside was the noise as we were facing the street. We did flag to the hotel staff though who proposed to move us to a higher floor. The bathroom could do with a bit of an update but nothing major. Overall a very good stay there.

Large Room, no noise from other rooms,Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Room size and quietness. Daily wine hour
Cons: Although we only used the kitchen for breakfast it was a bit lacking in crockery etc
Location: Restaurant beside the hotel good value for money. Short walk to the subway
2 good sized beds in a large room with seperate kitchen area. Never heard guests in other rooms or doors slaming. Although not in the central part of new york easy to get anywhere you needed on the subway

Great Hotel in Midtown ManhattanPosted Aug 25, 2014
Cons: They could provide free internet access for a few minutes each day to allow some one to quickly check their email, and etc.
Location: Grand central station, empire state building, Macy's department store. Park Avenue, 5th Avenue
Large comfortable room, with a kitchen including pots, pans, dishes, and etc. Walking distance to subway, restaurant on ground floor, 24 hour market next door. Staff was awesome and friendly, free wine tasting every evening. Room was very clean, there were free options for different types of pillows, buckwheat, memory foam, and etc. Thick luxury bath robes provided, walking/running kit with IPod and step counter as well as running guide book for new york.

Rooms are large, clean and modern.Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Love the fact that the rooms have a kitchenette in them! Rooms are large for Manhattan, fairly modern and quite comfortable.
Cons: Our room smelled a little bit like food. Not sure why.
Location: The neighborhood is nice and there are good places to eat but it is on the east side of side of midtown so not a lot to do right in the vicinity.
We have stayed at this hotel three times. We return because it's very nice and reasonably priced for Manhattan. It was also nice that they have a free wine hour in the early evening.

5* EverythingPosted Aug 16, 2014
Cons: Nothing really, may be the lobby is a bit small
Location: Brilliant location, everything so close, great cafes restaurants and bars near by. 5 mins to Metro too
Just 2 nights in NYC for a Yorkshire family of 4 (inc 2 teenagers). Arrived 4 hours before check in, no problem. The wonderful Stephanie persuaded us to upgrade to a 35th floor room.....do it, for $30 per night it was well worth it, views were stunning, UN building, Hudson river down to the new WTC building, we slept higher than planes! . Room available straight away. Big clean and so well equipped. My English mate who lives in NYC said the 'Kitchenette' was bigger than his appartment's. Had everything, full fridge/freezer cutlery pots pans and even washing up liquid etc. Not that you need it as a 24/7 Deli underneath. Loads of top quality restaurants 5 mins away. 33rd St metro very close, 10 mins walk to Empire state, 20 mins to Time Sq We shall return

First trip to NYCPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfy, friendly, close to everything.
Cons: Need new pillows, a great bed should be complimented with wonderful pillows.
Location: 5-10 min to subway depending where your going... I would say about a 25 min walk to times square.
Staff was extremely friendly, personable and had some great recommendations for places to eat, you need to try Vezzo for pizza. It's just around the corner, Delicious! Hotel was very clean, valet at $55/night for 34th and Lexington seems a bit much, but that's New York for ya!! Caution! NYU hospital nearby, sirens all night long, so if your a light sleeper, stay in Jersey!

A very good apartment hotelPosted Jul 30, 2014
Stayed at the Affinia Dumont for 1 week with my family. We took a junior suite on a high floor. Beautiful view of the east river and the Chrysler Building. The Concierge, Donald, gave us some excellent restaurant suggestions. The Murray Hill area is now one of my favorites in Manhattan. The area is essentially a student resident, filled with youthful energy (without riff raft) and many delectable small restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Great hotel in the heart of NYCPosted Jul 28, 2014
We stayed at this hotel for a week, the location is amazing, central to everything we wanted to do. The in room wifi is really expensive, but if you ask the lobby staff they'll give you a code for free wifi in the lobby. Our room was cleaned immaculately every day, and the rooms were really spacious. Would definitely return on my next trip!
