Great location, very easy to get to main plaza.Posted Nov 24, 2013
Pros: Great breakfast prepared in front of you. Monica was very helpful with sightseeing tips and advice on getting back to Santiago airport.
Cons: Soundproofing between rooms/bathrooms would make this accommodation even better.
Location: Tours for Tips is a great walking tour to do from Plaza Sotomayor. Very entertaining and highly recommended to get to know Valparaiso.

Perfect location, nice placePosted Sep 23, 2013
Pros: The location and the style
Cons: The room could be a little more comfortable.
Location: Its located in one of the hills of Valparaiso, close to one of the elevators, in a rather quiet street but very close to areas with more movement.
It is an old house in a perfect location right in the of the old part of Valparaiso. You have an elevator station 50m from your room and lots of pubs, restaurants and places to visit within walking distance. The place is cozy, people are very friendly and the room, although small, was OK and typical of the city. A good experience.

Over-priced and grubbyPosted Mar 31, 2013
Cons: It was expensive - but really only a low-budget quality dorm-style student place
Location: Good location
Good location in the Old Town - right near an ascensore - but it is vastly OVER-PRICED and not value for money! The room had no external window; it looked into a roofed enclosed courtyard, and the curtains did not porperly close, so there was no real privacy in the room. There was no table or chair in the room. The bathroom was grubby and very small; there was NO hot water in the basin tap nor in the shower! The breakfast was satisfactory. Would not recommend this hotel.

Three Days in ValpoPosted Jul 18, 2012 on Hotels.com
Valpo, Chile is my kind of town. No it's not perfect but the people are down to earth and architecture urban but playful. What is graffiti to some is art to others. The staff at Casa Latina worked really hard to make my stay comfortable and even though I didn't speak much Spanish and most of them spoke little English I felt welcome and cared for. The room was large with high ceilings and a large bed. A space heater was available for the chilly nights of winter in Chile. The hills of Valpo gave me a workout but I loved the location of the hotel and taxis were cheap if you needed a break from climbing. Breakfast was consistently good and the Casa Latina staff remembered your preferences from one day to the next. I want to expecially compliment the Two Monicas and Nancy with Tours for Tips. Just a fun time and a great welcome to Chile!

Awesome Valpo!Posted May 31, 2012 on Hotels.com
Awesome location just a few steps from the Cerro Concepcion Ascensor. Great breakfast, really nice staff and close to a variety of restaurants. Do yourself a favor and do the Tours for Tips Walking Tour of Valparaiso. We saw the flyer at Casa Latina and decided to give it a go. It was great.

Great location, comfy bed.Posted Mar 4, 2012 on Hotels.com
I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was small but very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great, specifically the first night as there was no one in the room next to me. I did find that the walls were paper thin the next night when the room next to me was occupied and I could hear every word they said. That would probably be my only complaint. The breakfast was great! The location is central for walking around as a tourist. The neighborhood was safe and full of great restaurants and artsy shops. They had wifi, which was also nice. And though none of the staff really spoke english and I spoke zero spanish, they were very sweet and accommodating to my inability to communicate with them. They seem to have a system down with google translate when there are any major communication gaps. I would definitely recommend staying with them!

A good place to stay in ValpoPosted Oct 27, 2011 on Hotels.com
Great location, very near to the Conception elevator and in a great neighborhood. The room had a stylish decoration, comfortable bed and en suite. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. Downside is that the room was a bit noisy at night (thin walls) but otherwise a nice place to stay.
