Caribbean Hotel & Resort Travel Guide

Book a cruise to set sail towards a vacation of a lifetime. The adventure and excitement of a Caribbean vacation are waiting for you. There are hundreds of islands in the vast sea region waiting for tourists to visit. The warm tropical weather is one of the main reasons that thousands of tourists visit the islands every year. The beaches are pristine with white sand and clear, aqua waters. Picture yourself sitting on a strategically placed beach chair with a tropical drink in one hand and a juicy book in the other.

There are great hidden secrets in the Caribbean corridor. One little known treasure lies within the British Virgin Islands. There are 16 islands in this cluster, and they are all magnificent. Lying in a hammock between two palm trees, sipping on a cool drink and watching the beach revelers is a common realxing activity in the islands. There is no hurry to be anywhere, and the stunning scenery may coax you into adding a few days to your vacation. The hotels on these islands are privately owned making the experience more personal.

The U.S. Virgin Islands consist of St. Thomas, St. Croix, and St. John. St. Thomas is the most luxurious of the three islands where you will likely see yachts lining the waterways. St. Croix offers a more relaxed atmosphere that is less inhabited than the other two islands. On this island, sugar cane plantations provide lush green views for tourists to enjoy. Tours of the rum factories are available where taste testing is encouraged. St. John is a honeymooner's delight. It is comprised of more than 7,000 acres of park lands that entice nature-minded guests.

Jamaica is a favorite spot for people traveling to the Caribbean. Reggae music is as much a part of this set of islands as clear water and sunshine. Take a good camera when you visit these islands because the waterfalls and Blue Mountains make the scenery picture perfect. Dancing with a rum drink in your hand is as likely an adventure as scuba diving or snorkeling.

Caribbean vacations are for people who love the sand and surf. The options are endless and available to people from all walks of life. Each island has unique offerings that entice vacationers from around the world. Regardless of which island you decide to visit, you have a wonderful journey in store.

"Great place! I'd definitely go back. "
We enjoyed our time at this resort very much. The room was really nice, always perfectly cleaned with fresh picked hibiscus decorating the room. The staff was great and very nice. The gardeners will sometimes even crack open a fresh coconut for you to drink the water. It was so nice of them so make sure to slip them a little tip for it if they do it. The food was okay. It's hard to get really fresh vegetables but I'm pretty sure it's just because it is after all a Caribbean island so most of those things would need to be imported. The tropical fruits, of course are absolutely delicious. We were on the adults only side where there are two pools. One in the front with the swim up bar which definitely had a more party feel. The second was a beautiful infinity pool right on the beach which was my favorite. The servers are all nice. Make sure you tip them. The beach is gorgeous. There are a lot of complaints about sea weed on here but don't worry about it. The areas with all the chairs and cabanas are all on gorgeous soft white sand. There is some seaweed at the shore but who cares! people rake it up all day and of course there is sometimes seaweed on a beach. The water was as warm as a bath and there was lots of cool fish swimming around. There is a bunch of beautiful palm trees and flowers everywhere. It's gorgeous. I'd definitely go back but I would like to see improvement in the food if I could choose anything I'd like to be better.

    "Privileged Upgrade is a must!"
Hi there! Me and my fiancee spent 7 days at the Resort. This is the second time we use a Catalonia resort for our vacation. The hotel is great and has plenty of things to do and see. Lots of wild birds roaming freely, which makes pictures great. We had the Privileged option and we love it. You get a Privileged only beach area with your own bar (no long lines) like the regular ones. It is very quite and the view is great. The Privileged check inn and check out is a breeze. The food is great and there are many options to choose from. Theme restaurants are awesome and the Rodeo Steakhouse is superb. Ask for the "Picanha"........The best! The Caribbean restaurant is always quiet but the food is terrific. The staff is great and always ready to help with whatever you need. I'm a golfer and the golf course is decent and very affordable. We enjoyed our vacation and we will be coming back here for sure.

"Great rustic hotel near the heart of Old San Juan"
We arrived off of our cruise ship early and ended up showing up 4 hours before check in. The staff was very accommodating and let us drop our luggage off in a secure location (locked luggage of course). They were so nice and willing to help. They gave us a map and let us know of some good local places to get authentic cuisine. The room was very large and offered a safe free of charge. The bed was comfy and we had beautiful shutters that led to our window/balcony. They offer free wifi in their lobby, which is nice. We also asked for pretty places at night and they were happy to tell us where we could hang out and watch the stars or see some nice places at night.

Stayed for one night for a class reunion, which they were hosting. The hotel lobby is beautiful in a classic, antique style. My room was more modern looking, comfortable and clean. The service during the event was excellent.
