Not happy with lack of in room wifi which should be expected nowadays. Otherwise great overall

Excellent location, by MRT

Pros: location, food, gym, cleanness
Cons: billing
Location: at MRT station, has good outside cafe and bistro close by that are authentic yet inexpensive
Great location ,at MRT subway station, good on site restaurant breakfast buffet, great gym, pool and sauna. Unfortunately, billing was confusing, requires correction to make it right, due to the facts that some stay includes breakfast, internet and minibar, some are not.

Not the best for a Westin

They checked me into a Room with 2 single beds - i wanted a single queen size bed and they claimed there was no rooms available - hotel didnt look that full.. they didnt even try - disappointed Also this is one of the first hotels i've stayed at in asia where i had to pay for internet (and i travel every second week) The hotel itself looks old and run down

Westin quality in the heart of Taipei

Pros: The staff, quality of the bed, quality of the room, excellent bathroom, quiet, central location. The rooms have been renovated since my last stay.
Cons: Not much could have been better for the price. Stayed there 10 years ago, and it was a great as I remembered to be.
Location: Even though the hotel is in the middle of Taipei, it is a short taxi or metro ride away from most things.

Business Hotel, well situated

Pros: Well located opp an MRT station, good access to most places. In the midst of a downtown area, polite and friendly staff. Good breakfast spread.
Location: Great mix of upmarket and affordable restaurants in the neighbourhood. The hotel provided a useful map of all the places of interest in the vicinity.
I had booked thru Orbitz and it was pretty efficient. I thought that wifi was included in the room rates, but was told that it was free only for SPG members even if they signed up on the spot, so free it was. The staff are polite and helpful, the check in and check out very efficient. Breakfast was good. A good experience overall

Pleasant stay.

I had pleasant stay, everything was great, the only complain was no hot water in the bathroom, really not used to have warm water for shower, of course unable to hath.

Pleasant stay.

Breakfast has good selections, especially fresh fruit juices n delicious breads. The only thing need improvement is the house keeping service.

OK hotel, but definitely below 5*

Pros: Nothing really, except excellent staff service in the club lounge. Th bed was also quite comfortable

The hotel is ok. But it is more like 4* rather 5*. First thing you will notice is a very unpleasant smell from old carpet. The architecture is similar to what you will in a motel not a hotel, meaning accesses to all the rooms on each floor are from one common inside corridor. The hotel is located along a busy street, but in a poor surrounding neighborhood. If you are looking for a higher end area and better hotels, stay around 101. The hotels and stores in that area are very high-end, and the area is more alive at night. But if you are looking for an area that is more representative the old community of Taipei, this hotel is for you. The street eatery in the area is abundant, and cheap. The breakfast offered by this hotel, both in the club lounge and in the general restaurant are quite poor. The lounge is better than average.
