“Do NOT go here!!!! It is closed!!!! They put you at a different resort which is an adult only with loud music and parties…we got lost twice at night because we could not find where we were actually staying..it was called BETU. Mosquitos bit me all night. Could not sleep. When I discovered everything had been misrepresented and asked to leave and get a refund they denied my request but gave someone else a free night. They have a party for local clubbers and give them free waters and drinks but……

“We enjoyed our stay overall. The resort itself is beautiful and well maintained. There are wildlife running around the resort, including iguanas, flamingos and coatis which was really cool. It was very kid friendly with greatpools and pool and non-pool activities for kids. Some of the food was decent, but the buffets and dinners had some top notch cuisine that my school aged kids also enjoyed. The Family Select areas were very well maintained and my kids really enjoyed the walk-out pool and……

“I had a superb winter avoidance break at Bahia Principe. The pre booked transfer with Amstar worked perfectly both ways - just over an hour from Cancun. I opted for the shared transport but was the only passenger on both trips! Really good and competent drivers - if you’re unfamiliar with the locality this is a much better option than renting a car for yourself! The room was fabulous, stocked minibar replenished daily, comfortable bed, clean and spacious shower room, small balcony to relax on……

“⭐☆☆☆☆ Unfortunately, I would not stay at this resort again or recommend it. The dining experience was one of the biggest disappointments. The only restaurant isn’t a buffet you order from a limited menu, and it’s the exact same options everyday for both breakfast and dinner. They’re also closed for lunch, so your only option is the Casita with basic fast-food style choices. The beach was another letdown. It’s a long walk, and waiting for the golf carts to take you there often took longer than……
